Fairy ring fungi is a collection of fungi that form rings or circle formations in their habitats. These rings are known in folklore and superstition as fairy rings that can whisk away the unwary wanderer underhill. Scientifically we know there are at least 60 species of fungi that create fairy rings. This artwork is inspired by these fascinating fungi formations.
